About the event
Creation Encounter and Cedar Creek Learning Farm in Hood River, Oregon are thrilled to announce that we will be offering seasonal day camp for kids (and their adults) at the farm! These camps are intended for your curious 4-8 year olds who want to learn more from God's miraculous Creation. We will enjoy “hands-on” experiments, crafts, and other fun activities. Our goal is to see Jesus all around us in the tangible and every day; and learn how the biblical answers all point to an incredibly wise and loving Creator.
This kickoff camp will offer a variety of “Best Of” activities from the different camp themes. Our topics will include exploring with water, mud, clay and rocks through an erosion and sedimentation lab – we'll learn how evidence for Noah’s flood is all around us! Enjoy a forest hike to discover the diverse habitats of local critters. After lunch we get “up close and personal” with hummingbirds and learn about their amazing abilities. If time allows, we will plant milkweed seedlings to take home and ponder the miracle of monarch migration.
Meet at Cedar Creek Learning Farm at 9:00 am. Bring a sweater or sunscreen depending on the weather, comfortable clothes and shoes that can get a bit dirty and wet, your own sack lunch, a snack and water for each student, though water and bathrooms are available onsite. Register online below; additional information will be emailed to registrants a few weeks before the event. Registration capped at 12 students. We want these experiences to be accessible for all kids. Scholarships may be available in certain instances. Please contact our leadership for further information.
