About the event

This popular tour begins with a drive through and on top of one of the 80-100 "Boring Volcanoes" of the Portland area.  We will then witness direct evidence for Noah's Flood with the Troutdale Formation near the Sandy River, followed by a panoramic view of the Columbia River Gorge from the Women's Forum near Crown Point.  We learn the Gorge is technically a “water gap” and is the only river passage cut directly through the Cascade Range. Next, the Bonneville Fish Hatchery will provide us with a look at a "Herman The Sturgeon" as well as an opportunity to study petrified wood from Noah's Flood.  Finally, our tour will end at Cascade Locks and Thunder Island, where we will discuss the massive Bonneville Landslide that created a temporary lake from the Columbia River and then was responsible for forming a temporary "Bridge of the Gods" when the landslide dam failed.…
