About the event

On this favorite family outing we take several short hikes, and collect cobbles transported 400 miles by Noah's Flood and find petrified wood. In some places the wood is only charcoaled and we can light it on fire, though it is claimed to be 15-16 million years old! On this trip students will handle "rock solid" evidence for a young earth and a global Flood as we discuss its importance for our faith and our confidence in the historical accuracy of scriptures. along the way, we usually see fishawks, ducks, and eagles, and other amazing wildlife. Following this, we stop to study the mysterious “Mima mounds” of this region.

We will meet at 9 AM next to the Starbucks coffee shop near the Hood River bridge. We will gather there briefly and then leave at 9:15 sharp for the first stop. Please have $3.50 ready for the toll over the Hood River bridge. More helpful details and reminders will be sent a week or so before the trip. Please note: payments made for this trip are non-refundable.
