About the event
On this favorite family outing we take several short hikes, and collect cobbles transported 400 miles by Noah's Flood and find petrified wood. In some places the wood is only charcoaled and we can light it on fire, though it is claimed to be 15-16 million years old! On this trip students will handle "rock solid" evidence for a young earth and a global Flood as we discuss its importance for our faith and our confidence in the historical accuracy of scriptures. Along the way we encounter a variety of flowers and other amazing plants and animals that defy evolution.
We will meet at 9:00 am between Starbucks and Hood River Inn near the Hood River Bridge. We will give out a fieldbook with helpful info and have a short introduction. Our route will take us across the Hood River Bridge and about 20 miles with 4 or 5 stops and short hikes on the Washington side. More helpful details and reminders will be sent a week or so before the trip.
