Join us at Whitaker Ponds Nature Park in Northeast Portland for a half-day of viewing wintering waterfowl, as well as many other birds, including ducks, geese, grebes, egrets, herons, kingfishers, and possibly eagles. This field trip will serve as an introduction to birding, including the use of binoculars and field guides. A biblical worldview will permeate our discussion of these amazing creatures.

Dress appropriately for cold and wet weather (check forecast). If you have good binoculars, bring them. In addition, Creation Encounter is able to loan a few. A field guide will also be provided.

Meet: Promptly at 8:30 A.M. in the parking lot of Whitaker Ponds Nature Park, located at 7040 NE 47th Avenue in Portland. We will conclude about noon.
